What is the Mission and Values of MCC-Las Vegas?
Our Mission Statement is: "We are a Beacon of Good News through Grace, Love and Service for all."
Our local church body is a welcoming group of friendly individuals seeking out those who are desire a transformed spiritual life. We believe church shouldn't be so serious, that we cannot be ourselves, and laugh, clap and being joyful.
Are you looking for a new church home, a place that welcomes all people? Many of our congregation have faced rejection by their biological families, or workplace, clubs or even other religious organizations because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, choice of spouses, or race. We understand how horrible this is, and our goal to be - as Christ was to those who were the rejected in his time, loved, and to be offered hope, healing, acceptance and reconciliation to our Loving Creator.

There is a lot of talk about people having 'family values' or 'morality' in their relationships. However, we have found those who speak of 'family values', usually forget that the most important 'law' that was spoken about in Biblical and Sacred texts was the "royal law of love" (James 2:8*).
Jesus taught about 'Loving Your Neighbor". Many religious leaders say they have love, but their actions do not match their rhetoric. Our greatest moral value of our church is "Love". The love of God, who loved us so much that Christ Jesus was given in our place, to die for us, and to offer us an eternal relationship with our creator. It is because of God's love that we are here to share this with our community.
Without love, we can not know peace, hope or joy of freedom living in relationships with our God, without ourselves, or with each other.
We sincerely ask that as you seek for this truth in your journey, you would wish to spend it with us.
Love is our greatest moral value and resisting exclusion is a primary focus of our ministry. We want to continue to be the conduits of a faith where everyone is included in the family of God and where all parts of our being are welcomed at God’s table.
Offering a safe and open community for people to worship, learn and grow in their faith is our deep desire. We are committed to equipping ourselves and each other to do the work that God has called us to do in the world.
Providing a message of liberation from the oppressive religious environment of our day or to those experiencing God for the first time is what guides our ministry. We believe that when people are invited to experience God through the life and ministry of Christ, lives will be transformed.
* [James 2:8 You do well if you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”]
